Welcome to our installs for 2020. Although the year was marred by the world wide tragedy of Covid-19 we were able to install some of our most ambitious systems ever.
Combining our years of construction experience, with our solar installation skills, we were able to create not just solar systems but, usable living spaces.
12 - 385-watt panels - IQ7+ micro-inverters
The first of our pergola series. All hardwood construction with innovative design features to ensure long life.
This system is producing peak power in excess of 29 kilowatts per day!
This roof presented many challenges including both a sloped profile and pony walls. Our solution was to build variable height columns to elevate the system in line with the slope of the roof and get above the pony walls to eliminate shading issues.
We constructed 20 cm columns bonded into the roof and re-enforced between columns with aluminum angle bar set in the column concrete securing the entire support structure from column to column.
System was finished off with three coats of roof sealer on every column and the surrounding roof to ensure a waterproof seal.

This is a fully seasonally adjustable multi-panel system that doubles as the roof structure for the hard wood pergola underneath.
Faced with two problems for this 8 panel pergola constructed system - both a government stay at home order due to Covid - 19 and consequently a wood shortage, we were unable to initially complete this system.
Faced with time constraints we installed the solar system temporarily directly on the roof of the home. This allowed us to get the paperwork filed for the delivery of the bi-directional meter and put the system into operation temporarily. Once the pergola was completed we were able to remove the panels from the roof and complete the pergola construction and placement of the panels in their final position.

While the year started with a two very complicated systems, this was a simple 12 panel install very strait forward with no surprises
These are the new split cell panels with 72 cells each split in half for a total of 144 1/2 cells. This allows for a greater heat tolerance and is increasing total production.
We completed this install in under two work days with the system up and running in a test condition. We then had to shut the system down while awaiting the processing or the application with CFE. Once the bi-directional meter arrives the system is ready for operation with just the flip of a breaker.
